| Abstract: | (Studio) Some paper handlers back at work at "Washington Post", but pressmen still out.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(DC) "Washington Post" gained greatest recognition for breaking Watergate case, which led to resignation of 1st United States president Liberal backers accuse "Post" of union busting. Pressmen went on strike October 1, after breaking up press equipment. [Local Pressman's Union Jim DUGAN - says "Post" wants us as house union. Whole plan orchestrated from Oklahoma City scab school, where management trained to do workers' work by Southern Newspaper Production Company] ["Post" spokesperson Mark MEAGHER - says "Post" not trying to bust up union.] (December 8 film shown). In ad., "Post" says they brought in nonunion members to do job after pressmen refused 25% pay increases over 3 years and $400,000 bonus for all. Pressmen call offer insult.
